Thomas Butler
Profile provided by Andrew Thomas
Signed from Hartlepool last July, Tom is a fast and skilful attacking midfield player, although his final ball can be lacking. Unfortunately, he has failed to make himself an automatic first team choice due to competition from a number of other similar players at the club.
Tom's best performance in a Swans shirt was in the FA cup tie at Sheffield United last January, where he ripped the home defence apart.
Tom will need to demonstrate greater consistency next season if he is to displace others from our large midfield contingent.
Known as "The Judge" due to the amount of time he spends on the bench, and apart from his height does not resemble the 70's comedy actor Reg Varney.

Starting his career at Sunderland, Tom made a number of Premiership appearances for the Black Cats before he was called into the Republic of Ireland squad, making two appearances for the full national side.
Unfortunately, Tom seemed to lose his way, and moved north of the border to Dunfermline prior to a move to Hartlepool. Tom was one of the few successes on the pitch for 'Pool' last season before they were relegated, and joining the Swans for a fee thought to be in the region of £50,000.
A tricky winger, predominantly right footed, he is happy to play on either flank, and his skills were appreciated by the Swans fans who attended the Exeter and Port Talbot friendlies.
Tom has denied that he was brought into the squad to boost the ratio of shortarses compared to the bigger players, and both Leons agree with him.
