Bristol Rovers had two players sent off in the closing minutes off this relegation battle as Swansea clinched their first victory in five league matches with a 2-1 success.

Rovers, without a win in 13 matches were given the perfect start when Nathan Ellington fired them ahead after only three minutes.

But Swansea hit back through Mamady Sidibe, who outpaced Mark Foran to reach a pass from Steve Watkin and netted his sixth goal of the season in the 15 minute.

Watkin netted what proved to be the winner just three minutes later when Andy Mumford's free kick was nodded back across the face of the goal and the striker met it with a powerful header from the edge of the six-yard box.

Things went from bad to worse for the Pirates when defender Mike Trought and influential Latvian Vitalijs Astafjevs were both dismissed by Merseyside referee Chris Foy in the 85th and 89th minute respectively for second bookable offences.
