Crisis, What crisis? After a very poor start, after just two straight wins, another win tonight could have taken the Swans to third place in the table.
Tonight's visitors Yeovil included old stagers Paul Terry and Terry Skiverton but the heart of their team seems to have been ripped out in the last year or so. They included transfer deadline signing Paul Stewart who featured for Bristol City last year in their 7-1 hammering.

For the Swans Lee Trundle made another of his remarkable recoveries from injury to partner Rory Fallon up front.
Side- Gueret, Amankwaah, Tate, Iriekepen, Austin, Britton, Pratley, Robinson, Williams, Trundle, Fallon. Subs- Oakes, O'Leary, Way, Butler, Akinfenwa.
The first five minutes or so was very scrappy with neither side able to mount any sort of threat. Swans created the first opportunity on 7 minutes when Andy Robinson was brought down on the edge of the box. He got to his feet to take the free kick and drew a decent save from Stephen Mildenhall in the Yeovil goal.

Rory Fallon had a half chance that he headed over the bar after excellent work from Kevin Amankwaah who was constantly booed by the Yeovil fans every time he touched the ball.
Yeovil were playing an enterprising game with 3 up front and were a good match for the Swans with Chris Cohen and Lee Morris proving a handful for the back four.
It was Morris who almost scored after a good run and a shot that nearly crept in at the near post.

Paul Terry was lucky not to receive a red card for a rash challenge in midfield after having been shown a yellow card minutes earlier. Referee Mr Melin awarded the free kick and looked set to send Tom Williams off. Williams had also been booked minutes earlier and had incurred the wrath of Mr Melin with some backchat.
There was again little threat to the visitor's goal as the half progressed and indeed it was Yeovil that ended the half stronger with Wayne Gray having a golden opportunity to score that he scuffed wide and Morris forcing a decent save from Willy Gueret.
Kenny Jackett decided on a change at half time bringing on Bayo Akinfenwa for Rory Fallon.

Early in the second half Mr Melin missed a blatant Yeovil handball in midfield and it could have cost the Swans dear as Marcus Stewart lifted the ball over Willy. It seemed a certain goal but Alan Tate made up yards to clear the ball off the line with an acrobatic clearance.
The relief was short-lived as Yeovil took the lead on 52 minutes. It was an all too familiar story. The defence played statues allowing Marcus Stewart a free header from just 6 yards. Willy made a valiant effort to keep Stewart's powerful header out but only succeeded in pushing the ball into the roof of the net.

On 58 minutes Darren Way replaced Tom Williams and Andy Robinson moved across to the left.
Swans were now finally pushing forward with meaning. Andy Robinson almost equalised after excellent work from Lee Trundle and Leon Britton. Robinson's shot beat Mildenhall all ends up but his effort came back off the crossbar.
However, a minute later Swans won a penalty. Bayo Akinfenwa was held in the box by two defenders and to everyone's surprise Mr Melin correctly awarded a spot kick. After some shocking time wasting by Yeovil, Lee Trundle held his nerve and fired his penalty high into the net.

Bayo was causing Yeovil all sorts of problems and Lee Trundle had suddenly come to life. Swans had a purple patch for about 10 minutes or so before the game evened out again.
Neither side really looked like grabbing the winner and Yeovil even tried bringing on Barry Welsh, ( well Anthony Barry and Ishmael Welsh actually ) and Swans replaced Leon Britton with Tom Butler, but the game petered out.
Ratings-
Gueret 7 - A few decent saves.
Amankwaah 8 - Good in defence and going forward.
Tate 8 - Probably just pipped Amankwaah for MOM.
Iriekepen 7 - No mistakes.
Austin 6 - Gives his all but skinned too often.
Britton 6 - Still not looking match fit.
Pratley 6 - All energy but nothing like his best. Did win the tombola, also known as Stadium Man of the Match.
Robinson 6- Another traumatic week for Robbo and can be forgiven for having a poor game by his standards.
Williams 6- Still has a problem with his discipline.
Fallon 5 - Lacked support and oh for a cross from the bye line.
Trundle 6 - Much better second half. Slept through first half.
Subs
Akinfenwa 7 - Not sure how he does it, but often causes defences all sorts of problems when he comes on as sub.
Way 7 - Added much needed steel in midfield.
Butler 5- Offered little.

A draw was just about right for two evenly matched sides. Both teams look little better than mid table at present and Swans are just not creating enough chances and as for the defending of corners and free kicks……….
