Swansea 1 (1) - 2 (0) Fulham

Football League Two - KO 07:45 - Daily Mirror

Swansea failed to apply the brakes to Division Three table- toppers Fulham.

The game turned in the 63rd minute when Fulham player-manager Micky Adams made a double substitution.

That resulted in the visitors levelling just four minutes later through top marksman Mike Conroy.

And skipper Simon Morgan wrapped up victory with 11 minutes left when he surprised keeper Roger Freestone with a low, left-foot 30- yard shot.

Earlier, Swansea, without injured player-manager Jan Molby, had looked full of confidence. David Penny's 30-yarder went just wide.

He also hit a first-time volley but it flew safely into the arms of Fulham keeper Tony Lange.

Swansea went ahead following a corner by Richard Appleby, who had replaced the injured Shaun Chapple.

It rebounded off a Fulham defender to the lurking Dai Thomas, who cracked a shot past Lange in the 30th minute.

However, Conroy collected his eighth goal in nine matches when he pushed the ball into the net after replacement Glenn Cockerill and Paul Brooker had set him up.

Then Morgan claimed the winner following a much improved second- half display by the visitors.
