The Swans gave the high flying Canaries some anxious moments in this hard fought cup tie.

John Hollins the Swansea manager was full of praise for his players and commented on the irony of the fact that it took an extra-time goal from a Welshman to break the deadlock. He felt that his team had restricted the likes of Eadie and Bellamy.

Bruce Rioch said that Swansea had been tough opposition and was delighted that his team had finally come out on top and would be in the draw for the next round which is something his predecessor Mike Walker failed to achieve last season when the Canaries were brought down to earth at Barnet
