Signed for Swans: 15th December 2001, on a month-to-month basis. Signed on a free transfer from Albion Rovers, Jerry was brougght to the club to strengthen the team that started the season off so inconsistently.

The Scotsman is a product of the Partick Thistle youth program, and played a total of 40 matches for Partick, scoring 14 goals.

Among Thistle fans not considered one of the fastest players, his shooting technique is reported to be very good, with the left foot being his best.

At Partick apparently a confident penalty taker. Went on to Motherwell, but found it hard to secure a place, only playing few matches. A period of playing with different outfits started for Jerry.

Among other places he played for Irish Premier League outfit Waterford United, appearing 25 times, scoring twice.

The 2000/2001 season was spend with Stanraer, who released him in March 2001 afterwhich he joined Albion Rovers. Jered was released from Albion 31st August 2001, after appearing twice in the Challenge Cup and 4 times in the Scottish 3rd division, scoring once.
