www.liverpoolfc.tv Layton Maxwell's record at Anfield will go down as one game played and one goal scored. After some impressive performances in Joe Corrigan's Reserve team, Gerard Houllier handed the Welsh under-21 international left winger his chance against Hull City in a Worthington Cup tie with Hull City at Anfield in September 1999. He certainly made his mark having a fine game and scoring an excellent goal in front of the Kop, but he was never seen in a Red shirt again. Maxwell was loaned out to Stockport County for the whole of the 2000-2001 season before joining Cardiff City on a free transfer in July 2001.
