Pawel Abbott
Pawel is a 6"2' striker who has been signed just days after Rory Fallon left for Plymouth, and he has promised the fans that he will score plenty goals to cancel out the 2 he scored against the Swans in thier 3 - 2 comeback win at the Galpharm Stadium.
He started his career at Polish side LKS Lodz, before he was sold to Preston for £125,000 as a 19 year old. He scored 5 goals in his 30 appearances for the Lilywhites the majory were as a substitute.
He made 2 loan spells to Bury during his time at Deepdale making a total of 20 appearances and 6 goals for the Shakers. He then made a loan move in February 2004, which was made permenant a month later, to Huddersfield where he has scored 49 goals in 130 appearances in all competitions, 3 goals of which came against the Swans.
A fee of around £150,000 has been paid for the former Poland U21 international and he has signed a deal until the end of the 08/09 season.
