The backbone of the team since he was signed from Chelsea in 1991 for £45,000. He must rate as one of our all time bargain buys, with 600 league and cup appearances at the time of writing. He was even our designated penalty taker for a while, scoring 3 goals. Has been in the Full Welsh squad on a number of occasions, including a great performance against current World Cup holders Brazil. He broke the club record in 1999/2000 for the fewest goals conceded by the club, when he was the ever-present keeper. Showing no signs of slowing down at 34, and still displaying the sort of commitment that has made him a genuine hero to Swans fans everywhere. Despite being offered more lucrative contracts with other clubs, Roger still considers Swansea City to be where his future lies, even spending the end of last season as joint player coach with Nick Cusack.
