He has made his way through the youth system of the London team. He is currently in the Republic of Ireland side, and has made appearences for the under-16s, under 18s and under 21's. He made his Hammers debut in a 2 - 2 draw away at Newcastle in January 2000 where he came on as a sub. Shaun will be hoping to try make an impression and push his way int to the Hammers first team this season. The young Irishman has a classy left-foot and is an accomplished defender he also added to his West Ham portfolio in September 2001 away at Everton where The Hammers took a 5 - 0 thrashing.
