Jason was one of Alan Corks last signings for the Swans on the 1
st of June 1998 from Tiverton. He had previously played for Coventry City, before a knee injury forced him out of league football. Immediately broke into the first team, and quickly established himself in the heart of the defence forming a great partnership with Matthew Bound. Jason also scored a goal against West Ham, when the Swans drew at Upton Park in the FA Cup. During the championship season of 1999/2000, this understanding, coupled with the presence of Roger Freestone were the main reasons for the fewest league goals conceded by the Swans. Great in the air, surprisingly strong, and with good distribution skills, he made himself one of the Swans most saleable assets.

However, his injury curse struck again, and spent almost all of last season on the physios bench. It was good to see him back in action at the end of the season. Hopefully, he'll remain injury free for the forseeable future to help the Swans stabilise and push on to greater things.
