Manchester born karl munroe was signed initially as a trainee,after serving his traineeship he signed a 1year contract.Munroe made one appearance for the swans and was then allowed to leave on a free transfer.

Munroe a speedy defender then joined haverfordwest,but after a couple of months in west wales decided to head back to manchester.Munroe is these days seen playing in centre midfield for manchester giants maccesfield,where is consistency is being rewarded with rave reviews. Possible another youngster we let go for nothing and later make a name for himself. watch this space. (P Daniel 11/12//00)

Karl first signed associate schoolboy forms with Oldham Athletic and went on to represent Manchester Boys. He signed a one-year YTS at Swansea City under the management of Jan Molby and progressed to a one-year professional contract.

Managerial changes at the Welsh side meant a move for Karl who had a trial with Brighton before he made his way back to the north, signing non-contract forms with the Silkmen in the 99/2000 season. Looking to settle back in the north Karl put in some impressive performances in the Central League to earn his full time contract.(Silkmen website)
